Its more photo genic, but the people there are merchants, not producers. The next square over has a much nicer farmers market, the people have hands covered in the same mud that their produce grew out of, or grew in, or on.
We have taken some chances on strange looking things, and things we had only heard about, cardoons, celeriac, courgette flowers, chilies, we have yet to sample everything, but its only a matter of time.
